Already no stranger to ankle injuries, Goran Dragic suffered a sprained left ankle during Thursday's game against the Chicago Bulls.
The Miami Heat point guard stepped on the foot of a Bulls opponent and rolled his left ankle during a drive to the basket with 4:50 remaining in the third quarter. Miami promptly announced that he would not return to the game.
Dragic entered Thursday playing his best basketball in years, averaging 18 points, 6.2 assists, and a career-high 4.5 rebounds on an effective field goal percentage of 54.8.
Despite his aforementioned ankle issues, Dragic has proven to be a durable player over his nine-year NBA career, missing an average of only 5.6 games per year over the last seven seasons.
