Memphis Grizzlies shooting guard Tony Allen sat out Tuesday's game against the Denver Nuggets with a groin injury.

Allen, who missed the first three games of the season with a knee issue, is averaging 5.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and two steals through four contests. His defense has been typically tenacious but he's struggled offensively, shooting just 29.6 percent from the field. The Grizzlies have scored 16.1 more points per 100 possessions with him on the bench.

Memphis finally has Chandler Parsons back, which should help offset the loss of Allen on the wing - though Parsons went scoreless on 0-of-8 shooting in his return Sunday.

The Nuggets will also be without Wilson Chandler on Tuesday.
