Sacramento Kings forward Matt Barnes is never one to let a perceived injustice slide. With Sunday's report that the New Orleans Pelicans were about to waive the injured Lance Stephenson, Barnes took to Instagram, screen-capped theScore's headline, and let loose.

"Something fans have to understand is y'all get mad when players leave during free agency or hold out for money," Barnes wrote. "We have to do what's best for US, we have a small window to make as much money as we can."

Stephenson was officially waived Monday. His one-year deal with the Pelicans was reportedly only guaranteed for $100,000 this season.

Barnes and Stephenson were actually traded for each other in 2015, but ended up playing together last season with the Memphis Grizzlies.
