Lakers' Jose Calderon: Doesn't play in third straight game

Calderon (coach's decision) didn't play in Sunday's 119-108 win over the Suns.

Analysis:

Calderon is now healthy after a left calf strain kept him out of the first two games of the season, but he isn't being viewed as a rotation option for coach Luke Walton. Instead, Walton appears content to lean on sixth man Jordan Clarkson and fellow reserve Lou Williams for any minutes at point guard behind starter D'Angelo Russell, resulting in Calderon failing to get off the bench for the third straight game. There's not much reason to roster Calderon any longer, even in very deep leagues.
