Los Angeles Lakers power forward Larry Nance Jr. did not return to Sunday's contest versus the Phoenix Suns after suffering a concussion, according to ESPN's Mike Trudell.

As part of the league's concussion protocol, Nance will also miss at least Tuesday's contest against the Dallas Mavericks.

Nance exited after hitting his head in the first quarter, finishing his night with just two points and one rebound in three minutes of action.

The 24-year-old has been a solid contributor off the bench for Los Angeles this season, averaging 8.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.7 steals, and 1.2 assists on 61.1 percent shooting.

Big man Tarik Black could see extended time in Nance's absence.
