Thunder, Warriors skip handshakes before heavyweight bout

It was an anti-climactic pregame routine when the Golden State Warriors played host to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday.

There were no handshakes, no customary hugs, and certainly no daps exchanged by the two bitter rivals in their first meeting since Kevin Durant chose to switch sides following the Thunder blowing a 3-1 series lead to the Warriors in the Western Conference finals.

Captained by the cold, steely gaze of Russell Westbrook, the Thunder stood in their end while the Warriors remained in their corner until the ball was tipped.

Clearly there was no love lost between either side.

All eyes were locked on the long-awaited meeting of the two former teammates, but they didn't interact until Durant blocked Westbrook midway through the second quarter.
