Lakers' Timofey Mozgov: Ruled out Wednesday vs. Hawks

Mozgov (eye) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Hawks, Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Analysis:

Mozgov sustained a left eye contusion during Tuesday's loss to the Pacers and is likely still dealing with some significant swelling in the area, so the Lakers will unsurprisingly keep him off the court for the second half of the back-to-back set. The Lakers are still awaiting the results of Mozgov's CT scans, which will determine whether or not he's dealing with a orbital fracture, an injury that could result in a lengthier recovery timetable. Mozgov remains day-to-day for now, but since he's unavailable Wednesday, Tarik Black looks like the leading candidate to join the starting five in his place.
