Cavaliers' Tristan Thompson: Gets first double-double of 2016-17

Thompson contributed 11 points (5-5 FG, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds, one block and one assist across 36 minutes in Friday's 94-91 win over the Raptors.

Analysis:

After attempting just one shot and going scoreless in Tuesday's opener against the Knicks, Thompson was less invisible Friday, converting all of his attempts from the field en route to his first double-double of the season. The Cavaliers lack quality depth on their bench at the center spot, but starting power forward Kevin Love's ability to slide over to that position as a small-ball option when Thompson is off the floor will allow coach Tyronn Lue to maintain a tight rotation. With few threats to his court time on the roster, Thompson will have a decent shot at matching the career-high 9.4 rebounds per game he posted in 2012-13, his second season in the NBA.
