Spurs' Dejounte Murray: Healthy inactive in season opener

Murray (coach's decision) was inactive for Tuesday's 129-100 win over the Warriors.

Analysis:

The Spurs drafted the athletic, but raw Murray with the 29th overall pick in June with the knowledge that he'd be a long-term project, so he's not expected to see much time on the court with the NBA squad this season. Instead, his most important minutes figure to come with the team's D-League affiliate, the Austin Spurs. Expect Murray to spend ample time with Austin so long as the team has three healthy point guards above him on the depth chart.
