Popovich jokes about Kerr: I hate him, won't offer him any advice

All's fair in love and winning NBA championships.

Steve Kerr of the Golden State Warriors is still relatively new to the head coaching game, entering just his third season on the job. Even with two Finals appearances on his resume and a title win in 2014-15, Kerr still seeks out the advice of those with experience and a championship pedigree.

That would include San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, although his days of offering advice to Kerr may very well be over.

"I hate Steve Kerr. If he asked me anything, I'd tell him to go urinate in a bucket." Popovich jokingly said prior to the Spurs-Warriors game on Tuesday, according to the Bay Area News Group's Carl Steward.

Golden State is stacked with four of the top players on the planet in Kevin Durant, back-to-back MVP Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. The road to the Larry O'Brien trophy goes through them, so it makes sense for Popovich to refrain from helping the coach manning the sidelines for the most awe-inspiring squad in the league, and his biggest threat in the Western Conference.
