Suns' Tyson Chandler: Double-doubles in return Friday

Chandler managed 10 points (3-6 FG, 4-8 FT), 11 rebounds, an assist and a steal over 24 minutes in Friday's 98-94 preseason victory over the Lakers.

Analysis:

The veteran big man made his return from the hamstring injury that had sidelined him since the first game of the preseason back on Oct. 3 and put together a performance that served as a testament to his regular-season readiness. Chandler was able to play a normal allotment of minutes and had no trouble putting in his usual stalwart performance on the boards, providing the Suns with some peace of mind as they wrap up the exhibition slate. The 34-year-old likely figures in for about the 24.5 minutes he averaged last season while sharing the center position with the younger and talented Alex Len. While he doesn't offer much scoring upside at this point in his career and the Suns boast plenty of potent offensive options elsewhere, Chandler should once again serve as an above-average source of rebounds.
