Spurs' Danny Green: Will sit against Rockets

Green is dealing with a left quad strain and won't play in Friday's preseason finale against the Rockets.

Analysis:

Green first picked up a quad contusion in September, and it seems as though the injury may still be bothering him, which isn't a good sign with the season opener against the Warriors set to take place Tuesday. The Spurs will also be without Jonathon Simmons (calf) for Friday's contest, so Manu Ginobili, Bryn Forbes and Kyle Anderson may be asked to take on increased minutes.
