Hornets' Kemba Walker: Has knee examined Thursday

Walker was held out of the Hornets' morning shootaround Thursday in order to receive an examination on his left knee, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports.

Analysis:

It's reportedly just a check-up for Walker, who had surgery on the knee back in May but hasn't experienced any setbacks. Everything is expected to check out OK, so as long as there aren't any surprises, Walker should be able to suit up later Thursday evening against the Heat. Walker has seen his minutes gradually increase throughout the preseason and should be ready for a full minutes load for the Oct. 26 season opener against the Bucks.
