Clippers' DeAndre Jordan: Ruled out for Monday

Jordan (rest) will sit out Monday's preseason tilt with the Jazz, Rowan Kavner of Clippers.com reports.

Analysis:

Jordan and Blake Griffin are getting the night off for rest, while Chris Paul is sitting out to further recover from a thumb sprain. All three of the Clippers' stars are expected to be back in the lineup for Tuesday's preseason finale versus the Kings in their last opportunity for a tune-up prior to the regular season opener. However, Brandon Bass is expected to take Jordan's place in the starting lineup Monday at center.
