Nets' Sean Kilpatrick: Draws the start at shooting guard Monday

Kilpatrick will start at shooting guard during Monday's preseason game against the Celtics, Mike Mazzeo of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

Coach Kenny Atkinson has yet to decide on a starting lineup heading into the regular season, so Kilpatrick will get a look with the top unit to see how he fits in. Since joining the Nets last February, Kilpatrick has served as one of the team's top scorers off the bench, so he should be in line for a sizable role even if he ultimately doesn't start. Bojan Bogdanovic and Randy Foye would seem to shape up as better bets than Kilpatrick to open the season in the starting lineup.
