Timberwolves' Ricky Rubio: To be rested on Sunday

Rubio will sit out Sunday's preseason game against the Thunder for rest purposes.

Analysis:

With the Timberwolves finishing off a back-to-back set and coach Tom Thibodeau eager to evaluate some of his reserves, Rubio and the rest of Minnesota's regular starting five will sit out. Rubio's absence should open up minutes at point guard for Kris Dunn, Tyus Jones and John Lucas.
