Knicks' Kristaps Porzingis: Dealing with groin injury

Porzingis sustained a sore left groin during Saturday's preseason game against the Celtics, but expects to play in the Knicks' rematch with Boston on Wednesday, Ian Begley of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

Porzingis suffered the injury during the first quarter Saturday and was eventually pulled after just 15 minutes of court time, during which he produced nine points (3-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds and a steal. He'll sit out Sunday's practice for additional rest and recovery, but it's expected that Porzingis will get back on the court within a couple of days. The 21-year-old's draft stock in fantasy leagues shouldn't be affected by the news.
