Bosh: I'm 'going to do everything that it takes to get back out there'

Chris Bosh isn't going down without a fight.

The big man recently failed a physical - which he learned of through the media - likely spelling the end of his career with the Miami Heat.

That doesn't mean he's ready to call it quits, though.

"No matter what, I'm gonna try to play basketball," Bosh said in his "Uninterrupted" video series finale. "That's just what I've been placed here to do."

After beginning the miniseries with "total confidence" he'd participate in Miami's training camp, the 32-year-old was discernibly pained in the fifth installment as he tried to make sense of the ordeal caused by his blood clot condition.

"(I'm) just trying my best to kinda, really just weather the storm, whatever this storm is, and really just figure things out," he said. "I'm just as confused as anybody else. You know I've been playing basketball my whole life, and I feel I have so much more to give."

Bosh has three years and $76 million left on his deal with the Heat. He's been told to take all that guaranteed money and move on to the next chapter in his life, but that's easier said than done.

"I'm not really thinking about money," the 11-time All-Star said. "I'm just thinking about where my heart is. ... I love the NBA. I love playing basketball everyday for a living."

Bosh, who captured two championships in Miami, understands he's facing an uphill battle, but that's nothing new to him.

"I've been in so many situations, especially in games where everybody thought it was over, and that's it. But that's our mentality as athletes, and really as winners and competitors and people, is to defy the odds," he said.

So, he's going to try to do it again.

"I don't want people to just give up. We're going to go everywhere. We're going to do everything that it takes to get back out there," CB4 asserted.

"And if people can't understand that, you don't understand being a winner. People sometimes tell you that dreams are impossible. It's either you follow your dreams and continue to go, or you do not. I just choose to follow my dreams."

Bosh can begin seeking medical clearance to join another team next February after he gets off Miami's books. Alternatively, he could hit free agency sooner via a buyout, but it would mean taking significantly less money from the Heat.
