Cavaliers' Jones confident Bosh will play again

There's uncertainly looming over Chris Bosh's NBA career.

The 6-foot-11 power forward has expressed confidence he can still play, despite failing a physical that ended all hopes of returning to the Miami Heat.

At least one of his former teammates believes he can overcome his blood-clotting issues and latch on with another franchise.

Cleveland Cavaliers swingman James Jones played with Bosh for four years in Miami where they won championships in 2012 and 2013. He's confident we haven't seen the last of CB4 on the hardwood.

"Chris will play again," Jones told Lang Greene of Basketball Insiders. "I've always said there's something about that group in Miami. Every single guy down there, in a unique fashion, had an overbearing, overwhelming desire to succeed. We did some special things down there namely because those guys (Wade and Bosh) willed their way to it.

"From a health perspective, I know (Bosh) will do everything in his power and medicine these days is amazing. He'll find a way to get back. No way will he allow the game to be taken away from him for a medical reason. But like always, he's methodical, he's very, very patient and he'll figure it out.

"We're all pulling for him because this is a brotherhood. Not only because this is the NBA but by playing on a team like that, it's a brotherhood, and you always want to see your brother's dreams and legacies fulfilled."

Bosh, 32, has three years and $76 million remaining on his contract, which the Heat can remove from the salary cap if the big man doesn't play between now and next February.

After that point, Bosh will become a free agent and can try to get medical clearance to play elsewhere. Alternatively, he can free up before that by negotiating a buyout with Miami, but it would cost him millions.
