Jazz's George Hill: Solid effort in second preseason game

Hill compiled 11 points (5-13 FG, 1-3 3Pt), five assists, two steals, one rebound and one block across 27 minutes in Wednesday's 104-99 preseason victory over the Suns.

Analysis:

Hill, who landed with the Jazz this summer as part of the three-team trade that sent Jeff Teague to the Hawks, was heavily involved in the offense, taking an unusually high number of shot attempts in the contest. While Hill will provide an impact on the defensive end and as a three-point shooter, he won't see a usage rate on par with most of the league's top point guards, which will limit his overall ceiling for production. Even so, after averaging 12.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.7 three-pointers and 1.1 steals across 34.1 minutes per game, Hill produces enough all-around value to warrant a mid- or late-round selection in most fantasy leagues.
