Trail Blazers' Maurice Harkless: Starts Monday in preseason game

Harkless is listed as the starting small forward for Monday's preseason game against the Jazz.

Analysis:

Coach Terry Stotts cautioned not to read too much into his starting lineups during the preseason, but it's hard not to with Harkless and Evan Turner both in contention for the starting spot at small forward. On top of that, the clear favorites at the other four positions started Monday. It's still far too early to declare Harkless the winner in the job battle, but he seemingly has the edge at the moment.
