Pistons' Marcus Morris: Suffers finger injury
Morris is dealing with a finger injury and was a limited participant during Thursday's practice, Rod Beard of the Detroit News reports.
Analysis:
Morris had an X-ray performed on the finger, but it came back negative, indicating the injury isn't that serious. While Morris could be at risk of missing a few more days of practice, he doesn't look to be in danger of missing time during the regular season. Morris is poised to start at small forward this season, but could see a slight downgrade in playing time after averaging 35.7 minutes per game last season. Coach Stan Van Gundy has spoken of getting more rest for his starters in 2016-17, so if that plan holds to form, Stanley Johnson would be in line for expanded run.
