Wizards' Markieff Morris: Suffers finger injury

Morris is dealing with a finger injury and was held out of Thursday's practice, J. Michael of CSN Mid-Atlantic reports.

It's reportedly just a jammed thumb for Morris, so the injury shouldn't keep him sidelined for long. The Wizards begin their preseason schedule on Oct. 4 versus the Heat, so his finger should be healed by that point. Morris is slated to open the upcoming season as the Wizards' starting power forward.
