Report: Rose 'troubled by uncertainty' of ongoing sexual assault case
Derrick Rose came into his first New York Knicks training camp with a dark cloud hanging over his head.
Rose is set to stand trial as the defendant in a civil sexual assault case, and the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed this week that it's in the midst of a criminal investigation into the victim's allegations against him.
Knicks president Phil Jackson said during the team's media day that the case is "not keeping (Rose) up at night," but the 27-year-old is reportedly far from unperturbed about the impending trial and ongoing investigation.
Rose has been "troubled by the uncertainty of his legal entanglements more than he is letting on," sources told The Vertical's Chris Mannix.
The anonymous victim (who will be forced to reveal her identity when the the trial begins Oct. 4) is suing Rose for $21.5 million and pressing criminal charges for an alleged incident of non-consensual group sex involving Rose and two friends in 2013.
