Giannis jokes about height: I'm '6-9 like KD'
Giannis Antetokounmpo managed to elicit some chuckles at his media day presser after all. And no, it wasn't from his opening knock-knock joke.
The Milwaukee Bucks floor general accidentally referred to himself as a "7-foot point guard" on Monday, before clarifying that he's actually an "almost-7-foot point guard."
Asked to elaborate on his height, he replied: "I don't know. I'm 6-foot-11 and a half, so 7 foot. Almost 7 foot, 7 foot with shoes, 7-2 with high heels on. I'm joking (laughs)."
The 21-year-old then added he's "6-9 like KD."
It's no secret Kevin Durant is taller than the height at which he's listed. The Golden State Warriors star admitted 6-foot-9 is the ideal height for a small forward in the NBA, and anyone taller is a power forward or center.

Many players before him shared that mindset, but it's becoming irrelevant as the league gravitates toward "positionless" basketball.
The Greek Freak's view reflects that. Despite being tabbed to start at the one-spot this upcoming season, he told The Wall Street Journal's Chris Herring in May that he wants "to get taller."
Since being drafted 15th overall in 2013 as a 6-foot-9 small forward, Antetokounmpo has experienced growth in both his height and his game.
