Timberwolves' Towns has message for Garnett: 'I'll take it from here'

Being able to play his inaugural campaign under the tutelage of 15-time All-Star Kevin Garnett was an invaluable learning experience for No. 1 overall draft pick and reigning Rookie of the Year Karl-Anthony Towns.

Garnett's retirement after 21 seasons means Towns will now carry the torch that's been passed to him by "The Big Ticket" and lead the Minnesota Timberwolves into a new era.
Towns addressed KG on his Instagram account Friday evening, thanking him for everything he's done for him, and assuring Garnett he'll "take it from here."
