Wizards' John Wall: Coach non-committal on health

Wizards coach Scott Brooks indicated Wednesday that Wall's (knee) status for the start of training camp is uncertain, Candace Buckner of The Washington Post reports. "[Wall is] doing some one-on-one, he's doing some three-on-three. Not really worried about that," Brooks said, regarding the point guard's availability for camp. "Like all of our athletes, I want them to be ready but he's definitely moving towards that direction."

Analysis:

Wall underwent surgeries on both of his knees during the offseason after playing through most of the 2015-16 campaign at less than full health. While his right knee appears to be in sound condition based on reports earlier this summer, he's still recovering from the procedure on the left knee, which required the removal of a bone spur. It's generally expected that Wall will be ready to go by the time the regular season begins, but an extended absence during training camp could cause him to fall a few spots in fantasy drafts.
