Lakers sign Thomas Robinson to 1-year deal

Raj Mehta / USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Lakers have signed power forward Thomas Robinson.

While the team didn't disclose terms of the deal, Shams Charania of The Vertical - who first reported it - noted it's one year long. Eric Pincus of Basketball Insiders added it's a non-guaranteed contract.

Robinson, 25, has career averages of 4.9 points on 44.7 percent shooting, to go along with 4.8 rebounds in 13 minutes per game over four seasons.

Since entering the league in 2012, the former lottery pick has suited up for the Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers, Philadelphia 76ers, and most recently the Brooklyn Nets.

He'll have a chance to make Los Angeles' regular-season roster at training camp, which begins next Tuesday in Santa Barbara, Calif.
