Miami Heat power forward Chris Bosh, who has been sidelined with blood clots during each of the last two seasons, announced on Wednesday that he's ready to play again with training camp set to open later this month.

Bosh discussed his status on The Uninterrupted's "Open Run" podcast:

Bosh did not mention whether he's had any recent talks with the Heat, but did express his confidence in Micky Arison and the rest of the Miami organization.

Reports surfaced last week that there was "growing optimism" the Heat will allow Bosh to play while taking blood thinners during the 2016-17 season, barring any major setbacks.

While the Heat have stayed quiet on Bosh's health, the 6-foot-9 forward has done just the opposite, posting a number of videos on social media as he strives to get back on the hardwood.

The 11-time All-Star hasn't seen any NBA action since last February, when Miami was forced to shut him down for the remainder of the year with blood-clot issues.

The 32-year-old averaged 19.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 0.7 steals in 53 games this past season.
