Curry: 'There's plenty of shots to go around'

While basic arithmetic would suggest otherwise, Steph Curry is confident that the Warriors' star players won't see a reduction in shot attempts, even with Kevin Durant's arrival in the Bay Area.

"I did some advanced analytics," Curry said at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference on Tuesday. "There’s plenty of shots to go around."

Considering Durant attempted more than 19 shots per game - nearly 10 more than outgoing forward Harrison Barnes - it's almost certain that the trio of Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green will be be forced to sacrifice at least a few shots in order to accommodate for the four-time scoring champ.

Even if Curry and Co. do need to sacrifice the occasional shot or two to get Durant involved, the reigning MVP is more than comfortable adjusting his approach slightly, believing that everyone on the roster will have a chance to succeed.

"It’ll be a different way of going about our style," Curry said. "But there are plenty of shots to go around, plenty of opportunities for everybody to shine."

Golden State begins its season on Oct. 25 against the San Antonio Spurs in a battle of two Western Conference powerhouses.
