LeBron's company developing TV drama based on Dr. James Andrews
LeBron James' production company is broadening its scope.
SpringHill Entertainment, the outfit James runs with business partner Maverick Carter, has sold its first scripted TV project to a broadcast network since signing a contract with Warner Bros. last year.
The untitled drama will center around a character based on Dr. James Andrews, a renowned real-life sports physician, the Hollywood Reporter quotes from an NBC release. Andrews will also serve as an executive consultant to the project.
Andrews is known all over the world for performing orthopedic surgery on hundreds of famous athletes.
SpringHill produces current reality programming such as "Survivor's Remorse" and "Cleveland Hustles." In the feature film department, they are also developing a "Space Jam" reboot with Warner Bros.
