Chewbacca finally gets medal thanks to Brook, Robin Lopez
What gives, George Lucas? How come everyone's favorite Wookiee, Chewbacca, didn't get a medal at the end of "Star Wars: A New Hope" after the Death Star was destroyed, like Han Solo and Luke Skywalker?
Thank goodness for Brook and Robin Lopez, who rectified that faux pas by presenting Chewie some much-deserved hardware when they visited Disneyland on Monday.

In actuality, Peter Mayhew - the actor who played Chewie - told CinemaBlend.com's Dirk Libbey that his character probably didn't get a medal either because he was too tall for actress Carrie Fisher to hang it around his neck, or because there wasn't enough money in the budget for another one.
