Towns jokes in praise of 'PorzinGOD': 'He is a higher life form'

The New York Knicks' Latvian big man blew any and all expectations clear out of the water during his rookie campaign, averaging 14.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks over 72 appearances.

The only first-year player who had him beat was Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns, who became the fifth unanimous Rookie of the Year in NBA history.

When asked for his thoughts Thursday about the "PorzinGOD" during a Twitter Q-and-A, Towns jokingly built up the mythology of Porzingis' nickname for his legion of followers:
