Kings' Darren Collison: Reaches plea deal

Collison reached a plea deal Friday in his domestic violence case, James Ham of CSN Bay Area reports.

Analysis:

According to the terms of the agreement, Collison won't have to serve any jail time, but will have to attend "Batterer Treatment" classes and fulfill community service requirements. Ham notes that the NBA may still opt to tack on addition discipline in the wake of Friday's decision, likely in the form of a suspension. Collison is in line to serve as the Kings' starting point guard this season, but if he's suspended to begin the campaign, Ty Lawson could join the starting five for opening night.
