2K17 opens Towns' eyes to how good Timberwolves, Curry are

Chris Humphreys / USA TODAY Sports

Karl-Anthony Towns spent Tuesday at the NBA 2K17 headquarters, throwing down dunks while hooked up to motion capture technology, and he had some profound takeaways from the visit.

The reigning Rookie of the Year tweeted that he learned both his Minnesota Timberwolves and the reigning back-to-back NBA MVP, Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry, aren't too shabby.

He even shared an Instagram photo in which his team was ranked fifth in the NBA:

A rise to a top-five NBA team would represent quite a jump from last season, when Minnesota finished with the fifth-worst record at 29-53.

Still, such an improvement would align with Towns' comments from earlier this offseason that "things are about to change" for his squad.
