Wall replies to reports of discord with Beal, then deletes tweets

Not long after it was reported Thursday that John Wall's relationship with Washington Wizards teammate Bradley Beal was badly strained in part due to outright jealousy over paycheck size, the three-time All-Star point guard started tweeting.

Wall replied to various outlets that had picked up on the initial story by The Ringer's Kevin O'Connor. Soon after that however, he deleted the tweets.

Wall did post a tweet in which he expressed his happiness.

Wall is on a veritable bargain of a contract at just under $17 million a year. The reason is because he signed it in 2013, before the most recent spike in the NBA salary cap. Meanwhile, after signing a massive extension this summer, oft-injured backcourt mate Beal is set to earn about $7 million more per season over the next few years.

Last February, Wall inferred that he wished he had a higher profile, telling The Vertical's Michael Lee "I ain't got no billboards in D.C." The comments came a month after he fired longtime agent Dan Fegan and replaced him with Cleveland power broker Rich Paul.
