Tristan Thompson brings Larry O'Brien Trophy up CN Tower

By winning The Finals as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers this summer, Tristan Thompson joined rare company.

The native of Brampton, Ontario - a Toronto suburb - became one of six Canadians ever to win an NBA championship, and he celebrated his day with the title by visiting his hometown.

Thompson took the Larry O'Brien Trophy atop Toronto's CN Tower, and captioned the moment with a line from the song "Charged Up." That gave daps to two Canadian notables - his childhood friend, Cory Joseph (whom Thompson defeated in the Eastern Conference Finals), and Drake, the unofficial mayor of Toronto.

And since Thompson brought another title back to the city, it's only fitting that he gets a line in the next Drake track.
