Boogie gloats about U.S. win over Serbia to Divac: 'Told you so'

DeMarcus Cousins is an Olympic gold medalist, and he has no qualms about rubbing it in.

After Team USA downed Serbia 96-66 in the gold-medal game Sunday, Boogie said he told Sacramento Kings general manager Vlade Divac - who also happens to be a Serbian basketball legend - the three words nobody likes to hear:

"Told you so."

The result may have hurt Divac, but it shouldn't come as a surprise. After all, the American roster boasts "the most dominant player in the whole world" - in his opinion - in Cousins.

The big man averaged 9.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per contest, while shooting 61.4 percent in Rio.

While those stats appear solid, Cousins had his fair share of struggles throughout the tournament, mostly due to foul trouble. He saved his best performance for last, posting a double-double of 13 points and 15 rebounds against Serbia.

"It's all worth it," he said. "Everything we went through. Everybody had their own little adversity, we all overcame it and this is the best feeling ever. Honestly."
