Hawks' Jarrett Jack: Says knee is 80 percent healthy

Jack said Tuesday that his surgically-repaired right knee is at about "80 percent," Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Analysis:

Jack is roughly seven months into his recovery from a torn ACL, and at this point he remains optimistic that he'll be ready when training camp opens in October. The veteran joined the Hawks this offseason on a one-year deal for the veteran's minimum, and expectations will be relatively mild given his age (he'll turn 33 on Oct. 28) and injury situation. Dennis Schroder is poised to take over as the starting point guard, but Jack currently projects as the top backup, and he could also see time off the ball at the other guard spot.
