Kings' Willie Cauley-Stein: Concludes summer league stint
Cauley-Stein wrapped up his Las Vegas Summer League play averaging 7.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game over four games.
Analysis:
The 7-foot-1 big man's summer league performance comes as a bit of a disappointment considering where he was just one year ago. It is understandable that many close to the Kings were expecting big numbers this summer after Cauley-Stein averaged 7.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game during his rookie campaign. Although it would have been nice to see him blow away the competition, it still was just a four game sample. The former Kentucky standout is likely to see an increased role this season, especially if the Kings decide to part ways with star center Demarcus Cousins.
