After having his qualifying offer rescinded late last week, newly named Toronto Raptors big man Jared Sullinger had just one team in mind as he entered unrestricted free agency.

"It was a no-brainer," Sullinger told reporters Thursday during his official press conference.

With little depth at power forward, the 56-win Raptors were an intriguing option for both sides.

President and general manager Masai Ujiri is more than excited to have Sullinger in the organization, particularly after watching him terrorize the Raptors over the last few seasons.

"I don't know how this one fell into our lap but it did," Ujiri said. "We're really lucky."

The Ohio State product was arguably the most productive member of a crowded Celtics frontcourt last season, averaging 15.7 points, 12.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.4 steals per-36 minutes. With fellow power forward Patrick Patterson comfortable coming off the bench, Sullinger could once again find himself starting for a playoff team next season.
