The Washington Wizards agreed to a one-year deal with guard Marcus Thornton for the veteran minimum Thursday, league sources told J. Michael of CSN Washington.
Thornton split last season between the Houston Rockets and Wizards, averaging 9.7 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 61 games.
The Wizards have been extremely active this summer. In addition to bringing back Thornton and Bradley Beal, they added Jason Smith, Trey Burke, Andrew Nicholson, and Ian Mahinmi.
