LeBron James' return to the Cleveland Cavaliers may be a forgone conclusion, but that's not stopping hopeful teams from inquiring about the future Hall of Famer's status.

Teams are calling James, who is still an unsigned, unrestricted free agent, but according to ESPN's Marc Stein, James' agent is informing those prospective suitors that LeBron isn't going anywhere.

Any slight possibility that James would once again leave Cleveland as a free agent were likely erased, at least in the short term, by the Cavs delivering Cleveland its first major sports championship in 52 years.

Still, it's no wonder that teams are at least checking in on LeBron's status. The 31-year-old, 13-year veteran remains an MVP candidate, an All-NBA first team member, and the most surefire path to the NBA Finals, where he's dragged his teams in each of the last six seasons.

James averaged 25.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 1.4 steals on 52 percent shooting in 2015-16, earning just under $23 million in the process.
