Wizards' John Wall: Expects to resume running by late July

Wall (knee) is expected to resume running at full speed by late July, J. Michael of CSN Mid-Atlantic reports.

Analysis:

Wall underwent surgery May 5 to address both of his knees, with the right one requiring some minor cleanup and the left one requiring the removal of a bone spur. The point guard appears to be further along in his recovery with the right knee than the left knee, but he's already been able to start doing some light basketball-related activities. Wall played most of last season while nursing sore knees, but still posted career-high averages in points (19.9), assists (10.2), rebounds (4.9) steals (1.9) and three-pointers (1.5). If he enters the 2016-17 season at full health as expected and is able to do a better job of avoiding the sort of recurring issues that dogged him the season before, Wall could take his production to even greater heights.
