Cavaliers' Kyrie Irving: Joins U.S. Olympic roster

Irving has committed to playing for Team USA in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

Analysis:

Irving and Warriors forward Harrison Barnes ended up claiming the final two roster spots, as both players took some time off after a taxing NBA Finals before making their decision to play in the Olympics. With Kyle Lowry representing the only other true point guard on the roster, Irving won't face much competition for playing time in the backcourt.
