Report: Timberwolves have been shopping Rubio

It should come as little surprise after the Minnesota Timberwolves drafted Kris Dunn, but the team's been shopping incumbent point guard Ricky Rubio all week, The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Thursday.

Dunn was identified as a favorite of new coach Tom Thibodeau during the draft process. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound point guard should enter the Wolves' rotation immediately, although Thibodeau said Thursday night that he can play alongside Rubio in the backcourt.

"It’s a different look," Thibodeau said, according to Marcus R. Fuller of the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "I think you're seeing that more and more now, where you have two point guards on the floor. They're both capable of playing off each other."

The 25-year-old Rubio could make attractive trade bait. Signed through 2019, his shooting shortcomings are partially offset by the fact he's averaged 10.1 points, 8.3 assists, and 2.2 steals per game over his five-year career.
