The Atlanta Hawks landed a versatile swingman Thursday by selecting Baylor forward Taurean Prince with the 12th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.

The Utah Jazz made the selection on behalf of Atlanta as part of an earlier 3-team deal involving Jeff Teague and George Hill. The trade won't be made official until July 1st.

Never mind that Prince is a senior - the 21-year-old projects as one of the most surefire prospects in the draft. The 6-foot-8 forward combines excellent athleticism (36-inch vertical) with an accurate 3-point shot and elite motor. Prince also brings positional versatility: He can play both forward spots thanks to his 7-foot wingspan.

Prince does lack upside, but he might have just been a late bloomer. He was a raw bench player for his first two years at Baylor before blossoming into a vocal leader and the Bears' go-to scorer.
