The DeVos family, owners of the Orlando Magic, are trying to do their part in helping repair a heartbroken community.
Orlando mayor Buddy Dyer said that Richard DeVos has donated $400,000 to the OneOrlando fund to help the families of the victims of the weekend nightclub shooting in the city.
The OneOrlando fund was created following the deadly shooting early Sunday morning that claimed the life of 49 people. The money raised will be distributed in the community to help combat underlying causes of the shooting, help the LGBTQ community, and help nonprofits that support the victims.
The Magic donated $100,000 to the fund earlier Tuesday.
