The Golden State Warriors picked the wrong time to play some of their worst basketball of the season.
Coming off a brutal fourth quarter in Game 5 in which they scored just 13 points, the Warriors started Game 6 with the same kind of dismal effort.
With an opportunity to win a second straight NBA title, Golden State scored a season-low 11 points in the opening frame and found themselves trailing the Cleveland Cavaliers 31-11 heading into the second quarter.
The Warriors' offensive inefficiencies also stands as the fewest first-quarter points in a finals game since the shot clock era established in 1955.
The Warriors went 5-of-22 from the field and 1-for-9 from 3-point range, posting the largest first-quarter deficit of their season.
