Kerr says Warriors weren't ready for Cavs' onslaught
The Cleveland Cavaliers fed off a raucous Quicken Loans Arena crowd from the start of Game 3 of the NBA Finals, and it was clear early that the Cavs were bringing an energy on both ends that fed an easy 30-point victory.
The Golden State Warriors felt it.
"They came out like their season was on the line, and we came out like it was peaches and cream," Warriors forward Draymond Green said, according to the Washington Post's Tim Bontemps.
The Cavs opened the game on a 23-8 run. Green had a rough outing, finishing with six points on 2-of-8 shooting, including 0-for-4 from deep. Dubs coach Steve Kerr said the Cavaliers came out swinging.
"We weren't ready to play," Kerr said. "They punched us in the mouth right away. It's the NBA. That's just how it is.
"We just got our tail kicked."
Game 4 goes Friday in Cleveland.
